Hecho en Mexico: Estreno Nacional
Saturday, September 24 - 7:00pm
Sunday, September 25 - 4:00pm
Conceived and directed by Miguel Vaylon, Hecho in Mexico is a multidisciplinary reflection via theatre, dance, video, and music on the stereotypical headlines from contemporary Mexico: the economic crisis, war against narcotics, rise in kidnappings, and swine flu. Woven thru these narratives are popular, everyday stories of Mexico with all their richness of the culture. Working from a minimalist approach inspired by the methods of Grotowski, Made in Mexico is developed and performed by local artists in each host city. The project was first performed in Egypt, and has subsequently been presented in Gran Canaria, Spain; Tunisia, Manchester, Leeds, Mexico City, Rabat, Paris, Japan, and Chile.
