About

México Now Festival (MXNOW) returns this November 5–8 for four vibrant days of filmmusicliterature, and community, spotlighting the dynamism of contemporary Mexican art and culture. Join us as MXNOW continues its two-decade legacy of honoring international artistic exchange and cross-cultural connection!

Founded in 2004 by award-winning curator and producer Claudia Norman of CN Management, MXNOW is New York City’s first and only independent festival dedicated to celebrating contemporary Mexican culture. Since its inception, the festival has presented over 500 artists in partnership with more than 150 cultural institutions, reaching tens of thousands of audience members across all five boroughs.

At its core, MXNOW champions the importance of international cultural exchange between Mexico and the United States. By presenting Mexican and Mexican-American artists alongside U.S.-based creators inspired by Mexican traditions and perspectives, the festival fosters dialogue, understanding, and connection, demonstrating how deeply the arts transcend borders.

In a time of limited public funding for international programming, MXNOW continues to advocate for cultural diplomacy and artist mobility. We are profoundly grateful to our community of donors, sponsors, and partners. Your crucial support makes it possible to celebrate the deep connection between the arts communities of Mexico and the United States, and to ensure this vital exchange continues to thrive.
