Patricia Brennan Trio

An evening of boundary-pushing improvisation

The Patricia Brennan Trio unites three boundary-pushing improvisers for a bold performance exploring sound, rhythm, and texture. Led by vibraphonist Patricia Brennan, known for her innovative techniques and genre-defying approach, the trio also features the deeply creative Kim Cass on bass and the dynamic Noel Brennan on drums. Together, they craft immersive sonic landscapes that blur the lines between contemporary jazz, experimental music, and ambient minimalism, equally at home in explosive interplay and quiet introspection.

About Patricia Brennan:

Patricia Brennan is a Mexican-born vibraphonist, marimbist, improviser, and composer based in Brooklyn, New York. She found her voice through the vibraphone and mallet percussion, drawing on a musical foundation that began in childhood in Port of Veracruz, Mexico, where she was immersed in both classical and popular traditions. Just this year, Patricia Brennan once again swept the 74th Annual DownBeat Critics Poll (2026), winning Album of the Year for Of The Near And Far, Vibraphonist of the Year, and Rising Star Group of the Year with her own ensemble. DownBeat has called her “one of the most exciting and innovative vibraphonists at work today.” She has performed at Newport Jazz Festival, SFJAZZ, and Carnegie Hall, among other venues internationally.
