Echoes in Proximity is a project of original music by Mexico City based composer/producer Juan Cristóbal Pérez Grobet (Bass), and New York City based composer/producer Carlo Nicolau (violin & virtual instruments). This bi national collaboration was recorded/produced in both cities, between July 2020 and September 2021. Upright Bass, Electric Bass, violin and virtual instruments, blend seamlessly throughout the album’s 14 compositions, giving birth to unique timeless organic musical ideas turned into landscapes, which combine an eclectic array of unified melodies and harmonic structures. Echoes in Proximity was released on digital platforms, in April 2022. The performance at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC, will be the first time this project is performed live. Guest Musicians Emilio Teubal (Piano) and Rex Benincasa (Drums, Percussion) will join Carlo & Juan Cristóbal for this show.
